Growth ultrasound

A growth ultrasound will be advised in case there is a medical indication. This could be a situation where you have had a firstborn that was smaller than average then we would like to monitor this baby extra carefully. Also in case of pregnancy diabetes or if a midwife is uncertain about how the growth of the baby is going.
Important to know: We know how wonderful it is to see your baby as often as you can during the pregnancy, but growth ultrasounds are not the right means for this. The reason for this is that growth ultrasounds without a medical indication have proven to be less reliable. Of course we can always provide you with a non-medical ultrasound so you can still see your baby during the pregnancy.
