A lactation consultant provides professional guidance and support for breastfeeding. The goal is to make your breastfeeding journey as smooth and enjoyable as possible for both you and your baby. Whether you have questions during pregnancy or face challenges after birth, a lactation consultant is here to offer personalized advice, practical tips, and emotional support.

Our lactation consultant Rochelle provides support for a wide range of breastfeeding challenges, such as:

Preparation During Pregnancy
Proper preparation can make a world of difference. That’s why our lactation consultant care starts during your pregnancy. We offer:
- Breastfeeding Information Evenings: During these sessions, you will receive comprehensive information about breastfeeding and the needs of a newborn baby. Recommended from 25 weeks of pregnancy. The cost is €30.00 per couple. These sessions take place every 8 weeks, with space for 8 couples. You can register via info@geboorte-atelier.nl.
- Prenatal Consultations: These consultations last 60 minutes and take place at our practice. Together, we will create a personalized plan to help you prepare for your breastfeeding journey. The cost is €85.00.
Care After Childbirth
After giving birth, you may need some extra support. We offer the following options:
- Home Visit During Postpartum Period: This consultation lasts approximately 90 minutes and takes place in your familiar environment. The cost is €130.00.
- Follow-up Home Visit: Do you need further guidance? A second home visit of 60 minutes is available for €85.00.
- Phone Consultation: For minor questions, you can opt for a 15-minute phone consultation by appointment. The cost is €20.00.
- Breast Pump Rental: You can rent a breast pump from us. We offer the professional Medela Symphony pump. The rental cost is €2.50 per day. A deposit of €50.00 is required. A one-time fitting pump set is available for purchase at €45.00.
We Support You Throughout Your Entire Breastfeeding Journey
We remain available throughout your entire breastfeeding journey, from the beginning to the eventual weaning process. If you are not our client but still wish to receive lactation consultant care, this is certainly possible.
